How to plan your pace

Frequently asked questions

How is the pace adjusted for hills?
Each segment's energy cost is estimated from its gradient using the Minetti running-cost model, then your target time is shared across kilometres in proportion to that effort. Uphill kilometres get more time (slower pace), downhill kilometres less — so the effort stays even.
Can I export this to Garmin PacePro?
Not directly — PacePro strategies are generated inside Garmin Connect from a course and can't be imported from a file. Use this planner to know the pace to hold, then create your course in Garmin Connect if you want it on your watch.
What does the elevation sensitivity slider do?
At 100% the pace follows the full grade adjustment. Lower it towards 0% to flatten the adjustment — at 0% every kilometre gets the same pace, ignoring elevation.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
