How to edit splits

Choose a split distance
Split every kilometre by default, or enter a custom distance. You can also cut any split in two or remove it to build your own splits, starting from a single one.

Type a new time for any split (mm:ss). Timestamps are recomputed, then download in the format you want.

Switch on the race plan, set your flat pace and start time, name each aid station, and adjust the difficulty factor of every leg. You get the time of day at each checkpoint, exportable to Excel or CSV.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the time spread inside a split?
- Within each split the pace is constant by distance, so every point's timestamp is interpolated between the split's start and end times. The total duration is the sum of all split times.
- Can I use a custom split distance?
- Yes. Set any distance in kilometres — for example 0.4 km for track laps or 5 km for long rides. You can also build uneven splits: change the distance of a single split and the cut moves along the track (its ascent and descent are recalculated), while the last split absorbs the remaining distance.
- What if my file has no timestamps?
- You can still assign a time to each split: the tool will generate timestamps from scratch, turning a plain route into a timed activity.
- How is the aid-station schedule computed?
- Each leg is converted into a flat-equivalent distance: 100 m of ascent counts as 1 extra kilometre (you can change that ratio). That distance is multiplied by your flat pace and by the leg's factor — 1.2 meaning 20% slower for fatigue, night, technical ground or time spent at the aid station. Adding the legs up gives the elapsed time and the time of day at every checkpoint.
- Does it plan my fuelling too?
- Yes. Switch on the fuelling plan and each leg tells you the carbs, the fluid and the number of portions (bars, gels, fruit paste) to carry between two aid stations — derived from the leg's own time, with the carbs-per-hour target following the usual recommendations for the race duration. It uses the same model as the dedicated fuelling planner.
- Can I export my race plan to Excel?
- Yes — the .xlsx and .csv buttons produce a spreadsheet with, for every leg: aid station, distance, ascent and descent, flat-equivalent distance, factor, time, pace, cumulative distance and ascent, elapsed time and time of day. The file is built in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
- Can I reopen a downloaded plan to change it?
- Yes. Both the .xlsx and the .csv keep your track and every setting tucked inside them, so drop the downloaded file back onto this page and the plan reopens exactly as you left it — same cuts, same aid stations, same pace, ready to edit and export again. In the .csv the plan sits in the marked rows below the table: leave them in place. The .xlsx hides it away where spreadsheets can't see it, but saving the file again from Excel or Google Sheets strips it out — so keep the file as downloaded.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
